How listings work
RiteRest is a directory of organisations that help with death, bereavement, care at the end of life and planning ahead in England and Wales. This page explains what our listings are, and what they are not.
Listings are information, not recommendations
A listing means we found public evidence that an organisation exists and offers a relevant service. It is not an endorsement, a recommendation or a rating. Providers don't pay to be listed during the beta.
How providers get onto RiteRest
We build listings from official public sources — for example the Care Quality Commission, Care Inspectorate Wales, the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Companies House, council pages — and from organisations' own websites. Providers can also ask to be added.
What we check before publishing
Before a listing goes public, a person reviews it. We look for the organisation's own website or an official record, a current relevant service, and a suitable public business location. We keep a record of where each detail came from and when.
Where a listing mentions a register or membership, we show what was checked and when. Being listed does not mean every service, qualification or credential has been independently certified.
What “Details last checked” means
It's the most recent date we re-checked the listing against its official website or source record. It isn't a guarantee that nothing has changed since — prices, opening hours and services can change. Please confirm anything important directly with the provider.
Claiming and updating a listing
If you run the organisation, you can claim the profile for free. We confirm you're connected to the organisation before giving access. Claimed providers can update their public contact and description details; changes are recorded.
Reporting a mistake or asking for removal
Every provider page has a “Something wrong with this listing?” link. Use it to report wrong details, a closed business, or to ask for a listing to be removed. You can also email info@riterest.com. We review every request by hand.
Sponsored listings
There are no sponsored listings at the moment. If we ever introduce them, they will be clearly labelled “Sponsored” and will not change the factual information shown.
Where RiteRest works
RiteRest currently covers England and Wales. Some providers work nationally or remotely; we only show them as local where they show a local presence.
